The employee wellness program at work that I coordinate is called Healthy Lifestyles. Each quarter we offer a challenge to the employees. The challenges have to do with anything from physical activity to stress relief. Well, crazy Stephanie over here decided to put together a 5K for the employees and their families to participate in for the 3rd quarter challenge. It was on August 14th and it was so much fun. I seriously felt like a proud mother watching it all happen after months of jumping through hoops to make it a reality. It was an awesome sight to see people together with their family and friends being physically active. I was pretty happy that there were no disasters. There were a couple minor hiccups to learn from, but overall greatness. The weather was perfect!!! We had face painting, free t-shirts, refreshments, music, prizes, and a motivating strawberry on wheels. Ha ha, yes that's right...could you think of a better way to start the day? :) Below are just some pictures. I'm actually kind of sad it's over, but I'm thinking that this might turn into an annual thing.

Everyone lined up waiting to start.

Congratulations!!! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Runners.

First kid under 12 to cross the finish line.

Oh Congrats on the event Steph! I remember you talking about that forever ago! :)
Steph - this makes me SO happy!!! It looks like you had an awesome turn out. You are the queen of Healthy Lifestyles.
Impressive!! I want to be an employee for Provo by next year so I can join your event. It looks like it was so much fun! (running doesn't usually seem fun to me) You are a woman of many talents Steph! :)
